Annual Meeting, Warleggan Church

Friends of the Trust travelled from all parts of Cornwall on June 14th, to gather in the tiny and remote church of St Bartholomew, Warleggan for the annual meeting of the CHCT.

The President, Lady Mary Holborow, Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, welcomed Friends and supporters, and the Vice-President, the Rt Revd Tim Thornton, Bishop of Truro, entertained everyone with his talk on Cornish traditions and rituals in the Church and community.  Our hosts were John and Gill Keast from Warleggan, and John talked on Warleggan's eccentric former vicar, the Revd Densham.  Carole Vivyan presented her very successful Sponsored Drive About initiative - an alternative to the Ride and Stride event held annually every September.
