Anything Goes!

Anything goes on Ride and Stride Day, and you don't even have to stick to the date! Cycling, walking, riding, jogging, a Drive About, and even sailing, these are just some of the sponsored activities undertaken by our inventive supporters.  Or you can do something at your church or chapel - climb the tower, hold a coffee morning, a picnic, a cream tea, or simply welcome visitors.  

This national event headed by the National Churches Trust, is one of the most successful and popular annual fundraising events of the year, and one that helps restore and protect historic churches and chapels across the UK.  

How does it work?  

Here in Cornwall, over 70 of our churches of all denominations participate, raising funds for Cornish churches and chapels and the CHCT. How does it work?  Simply decide what you would like to do, then raise money for your church and the CHCT through sponsorship. Event Friends

Each area within Cornwall has an Area Event Friend to help you and supply you with sponsorship forms. If you would like to help organise this important day of fundraising, we need Area Event Friends in Saltash/St Germans, Truro, Lizard, Penzance.

This is not a time consuming task!  Just a couple of hours a few weeks before Event Day/Ride and Stride to promote the event in your part of Cornwall.  We supply all the materials.  In return we will enrol you as a Friend of the Cornwall Historic Churches Trust for free.  For details of the benefits of becoming a Friend, click on Friends/Become a Friend tab at the top.
